Answer to our research question

    From our research we found that Males tend to demonstrate a higher level of patriotism than Females did in the school setting.

What we learned about method

     We found that different audiences can see a survey in a different way, affecting it's validity. Our idea for a survey wouldn't have worked well because we tried to survey different age groups instead of sexes, and we found the adults did not interpret the questions in the same way that teenagers did, and therefore gave different responses based on this.

Problems with our survey, and suggestions for improvement

    From conducting our survey we found that surveys sometimes fail to take into account all the factors affecting a issue. In our case, we learned later that some homeroom teachers make students say the pledge, and therefore those students surveys were not really valid. We also would liked to have survey more than 40 people (time permitting) to make the results more valid.
