We surveyed equal numbers of male and female high school students (20 of each). We asked them a 4-question survey, asking them their gender, and 3 questions about their participation in the pledge of allegiance. The questions were in ascending order of "patriotism" with each question demonstrating a greater display of patriotism than the previous question. To eliminate other variables, we also only surveyed seniors so that age or grade difference would not be a factor in our study.
